PRESENTATION
artHAUS featuring artist K. Chris Durrah, in an expression of abstractum, cubism, and linear sketching that represent the many colors, emotions, and forms of the femme fetal with unconditional love.
At the center of the work is a shifting feminine presence, suggested through layered forms and partial figures. Rather than a fixed identity, she appears in fragments—both constructed and deconstructed—where gesture and color reveal moments of vulnerability, power, and transformation.
Embracing incompleteness as intention, the work invites the viewer to engage with what is missing as much as what is seen. In this space between line and color, control and release, COLRS + SKETCHES becomes a study of tension, perception, and the evolving nature of form.
Working across charcoal and acrylic, Durrah explores the immediacy of mark-making through experimental lines and unrestricted forms. Juxtaposed shapes and fluid compositions move with an intuitive rhythm, while influences of geometry and drafting subtly inform the structure beneath the surface—grounding expression in both discipline and instinct.
